Worked example
Add 3 mL of water to a vial holding 50 mg of GHK-Cu. The concentration is 50 ÷ 3 = 16.667 mg/mL, or 16,666.7 mcg in every millilitre. On a U-100 syringe, where 100 units make 1 mL, each unit holds 166.7 mcg and each 10 units hold 1.667 mg.
Change the water and only the concentration changes. With 6 mL instead, each 10 units hold 833.3 mcg, half as much, and any given mass takes twice the units to measure. These numbers illustrate the arithmetic; they are not amounts to use.
Concentration table
Per-component concentration for the label split above. Each component is diluted by the same water volume. The last column is what 10 units on a U-100 syringe hold.
| Vial | Water | Concentration | 10 units (U-100) hold |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 mg | 2 mL | 5 mg/mL | 500 mcg |
| 10 mg | 3 mL | 3.333 mg/mL | 333.3 mcg |
| 10 mg | 5 mL | 2 mg/mL | 200 mcg |
| 50 mg | 2 mL | 25 mg/mL | 2.5 mg |
| 50 mg | 3 mL | 16.667 mg/mL | 1.667 mg |
| 50 mg | 5 mL | 10 mg/mL | 1 mg |
Notes for GLOW / KLOW vial math
- The default composition below is a common KLOW label. For GLOW, set KPV to 0 or remove it. Always use the split printed on your own vial.
- GHK-Cu dominates these blends by mass (about 60-70%). At 80 mg in 3 mL, one U-100 unit holds about 167 mcg of GHK-Cu and about 33 mcg of each 10 mg component.
- KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-MSH. Like the other components it is not an approved drug.
- Combined purity on a blend COA does not confirm the component split. Only a method that quantifies each peptide separately does.
Storage and handling
- No stability data exists for these blends after reconstitution, and the copper in GHK-Cu can interact with other peptides.
- Keep reconstituted vials refrigerated (2-8 °C), unfrozen, out of light, and labeled with per-component concentrations.
