About VialUnits

A free, independent vial-math calculator and peptide reference. It shows the arithmetic, cites its sources and sells nothing.

Licensed pharmacist review: pending

We are engaging a licensed pharmacist to review the calculator math, unit conventions and storage and handling notes. Until that review is done, no page claims to be reviewed. When it is, this space will show their name, license and a public lookup link so you can verify it.

Independence: no product links, no sponsors

VialUnits has no affiliate links, no vendor links, no advertising and no sponsored content, and accepts no payment or free product from any peptide seller. Pages never tell you where to obtain anything.

This is deliberate. In 2026 FDA warning letters to online peptide sellers cited peptide calculators and reconstitution guidance placed next to products as evidence that the products were meant for people. Keeping the math completely separate from any seller is the only way a calculator can be neutral.

Methodology

Calculators

  • The calculators do unit conversion only: concentration = vial mg ÷ water mL; volume = amount ÷ concentration; units = mL × units per mL (100 for U-100, 40 for U-40).
  • The math is covered by automated tests that check known values, edge cases (zero, negative, mg/mcg swaps, amounts larger than the vial, readings beyond the syringe or between its marks) and the round trip from amount to units and back.
  • There are no preset amounts anywhere on the site. Worked examples are stated as what a number of units holds at a given concentration, never as an amount to use.
  • Calculations run in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Reference pages

  • Identity data (sequence, formula, molar mass) comes from PubChem and the published literature.
  • Research is summarized by design: who was studied, for how long and what was measured. We do not report effect sizes as benefits or make claims that any substance treats, heals or causes weight loss.
  • Regulatory status comes from FDA, WADA and primary reporting, with each claim linked. Each page shows the date it was last reviewed.
  • A licensed pharmacist reviews the calculator math and handling notes, and the review date is shown on each page. Pages say plainly when that review is still pending.

What the site does not do

  • No dosing recommendations, protocols, schedules or “how I use it” content.
  • No before-and-after content, testimonials, or weight-loss or healing claims.
  • No answers to questions about personal use. Those belong with a licensed clinician.

Corrections
